NOTE: Buying this book was actually kind of the start of my design education, like when I went from wanting to draw “cool icons” to giving a basic shit about the processes and history behind it all. I saw it name-dropped by Mike Cina in an interview he gave somewhere and I bought it immediately. To this day I’m a big Müller-Brockmann fan and this is the tome that started it all, indeed.

According to Amazon, this book retails for $49.00— $19 more than what I’m asking — and ranks an understandable 228,533 in sales. The primary text of Josef Müller-Brockmann: Pioneer of Swiss Graphic Design is credited to Paul Rand; Lars Müller Publishers put this particular 264-page paperback edition out on Jan. 1, 2001, with Dewey Decimal number 720.0. The ISBN is 3906700895.
