NOTE: Irma Boom designed this archive of fantastically un-subtle Dutch design sycophancy. If you get past the requisite Koolhaas and Droog worship, the essay is actually excellent. It’s no SHV but there are also some nice authentic Boomy bits throughout, for the fans.
According to Amazon, this book retails for $69.00— $57 more than what I’m asking — and ranks a sort of Sisyphean 1,383,191 in sales. The primary text of False Flat (Why Dutch Design is So Good) is credited to Adam Eeuwens; Phaidon Press put this particular 400-page hardcover edition out on Sept. 1, 2004, with Dewey Decimal number 720.9492. The ISBN is 0714840696.
